We have been working on the Kata and the Gokyo so far this summer. Joe and Geoff developed a Kansetsuwaza warm up routine that was adapted from the Mifune book, which we are also working. Come on down and join in.

Judo Tonight!
The Club will meet tonight (Monday 6/6/11) from 6-9.
This is the first day of the summer schedule which I think is:
Sundays: 4 - 6 pm
Mondays: 6 - 9 pm
I'll change that in the side bar as soon as I can figure out how... anybody know how?

Congratulations are in order!
Congratulations to Jacob Powell for his promotion to Shodan! Jacob has been a tremendous influence in the VCU Judo club and I, for one, look forward to his continued success as both a teacher and learner of judo.
Also, congratulations to Jesse Claypoole. Not only has he been elected as the club president for 2011-2012, but he has also advanced to the rank of Ikkyu!
I look forward to practicing with you both in the coming year!

JUDO!!!
Hey Guys,
Just as a reminder we still have practice going on.The numbers have been down so I wanted to remind people of the schedule. Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays always from 7 to 9 in the FSG. I know classes are hard so why not take a break and come train with us.
See you soon,
Larry D'Arcangelo ( Club President, Yonkyu )
